Know Before You Grow Hemp in CA
We’ve met farmers throughout California who are looking to enhance their experience. So we decided to share what we’ve learned about farming hemp with our Know Before You Grow Tour. It kicks off in Arizona, and then continues in CA, with intensives in San Diego, Bakersfield, Sacramento, and Red Bluff.
During this free three-hour intensive, California hemp expert Kevin Nowell will cover what you need to know about optimizing your operations — from choosing the right genetics to avoiding common mistakes. Space is limited, so please register to let us know you’re coming!
What You’ll Learn
As a farmer, you know you face numerous unknowns (no matter the crop!) — variable weather conditions, pests, diseases, harvest hiccups, and ever-changing crop values. Hemp farming is no different. But you can make the most out of your season, and protect your investment, by knowing how to:
- Build a realistic budget that covers costs, profits, and everything in between
- Choose the right genetics for your farm, based on your region and your budget
- Avoid common mistakes and oversights, and maximize your optimal growing season
- Make a comprehensive farm plan by working backward from post-harvest
