What you’ll learn about CBG (cannabigerol)

There’s certainly a buzz around CBG among hemp farmers farming for cannabinoids and consumers whose interest has already been sparked by CBD. With our panel of CBG experts, we’ll dig into:

  • What is CBG (and why has it gained such popularity)
  • What are minor cannabinoids (and how are they different from CBD)
  • The benefits of farming Matterhorn CBG
  • The demand for CBG in today’s market

About Our CBG Panelists

About Matthias Ghidossi of Swiss Cannabinoid

Founder of Swiss Cannabinoid, Matthias was born in Switzerland and began working in the cannabis industry at a young age. He has a post graduate certificate in horticulture after working around agriculture since a young age. During the late 90s, Matthias worked in the cannabis industry while THC was legalized in Switzerland for a few years, where he worked for some of the largest Swiss producers. In 2015, Matthias decided to begin cannabis breeding with the intention of producing novel non-psychoactive varieties. In 2016, Matthias discovered his first CBG phenotype that has since been tested and developed into Matterhorn CBG. Matthias is currently operating a breeding research program full-time in Switzerland.

About Matteo Ambrosini, Cannabis grower and consultant

Matteo was born in Italy but has lived in many different countries around the world, including the United States as a teenager. His work in the cannabis industry also began as a teenager and has taken him around the world working as a consultant for different companies. Matteo has diverse experience in the non-psychoactive side of the cannabis industry- as a grower, project manager, and consultant. Most recently, Matteo has been working with Matthias to develop new opportunities for Swiss Cannabinoid.

About Mike Leago of iHEMPx and High Grade Hemp

Mike Leago founded International Hemp Exchange (iHEMPx) and acts as Chief Operating Officer of High Grade Hemp (HGH). International Hemp Exchange is a digital platform to connect the supply chain of the hemp industry. The free iHEMPx exchange allows businesses to connect directly with their counterparts to create consistency and stability within a new industry.

iHEMPx services extend beyond our digital platform and include consulting, contract manufacturing, sourcing, strategic planning, investments, and retail products within the hemp and CBD space (and much, much more). Although Mike’s team works across the entire global hemp industry, its specialty lies in helping new CBD brands find the right supply chain for their own needs.

About Christy Thiel of Seed 2 System

At the forefront of the hemp industry expansion, Christy consults and trains companies through education and elevated best practices. Her approach to total wellness includes nutrition with a strong focus on the endocannabinoid system and CBD/Hemp. Christy breaks through the stigmatism, fear and false assumptions with science, research, and patience. She speaks globally about health, prevention, and the endocannabinoid system, and joins us for this webinar to discuss the current marketplace for CBG.
